Here are my reflections and lessons from my life in 2023, that I wanted to share with you. Life is a journey filled with patience, self-reliance, and a deep self-appreciation, and we always need to look forward to learning and progress.
About Patience in Relationships:
Marriage has been a profound teacher, educating me in the art of patience. I've never been short tempered, but I had my limits. Being a partner has shown me the importance of understanding and patience in how to act and react. Hence, why is patience a big deal? Well, I've realized that it is like a mental cool breeze. The longer we hold back our reactions, the more we can reflect on them. And if you're someone who thinks things through, time often reveals that those initial thoughts could've led to a reaction you would regret. I truly believe that reacting in anger exposes emotional weakness. Those who lack patience tend to lack calmness in their thoughts, and they're not feeling too good. I won't judge them, but this note isn't about them; it's about what time can teach us and It's about staying calm, being patient with others, avoiding quick judgments, and trying to understand the reasons behind their actions. I am no longer wasting myself with negative thoughts about others.
About Patience in Pursuing Goals:
Let's talk about goals. We all have them, and we rush to achieve them, stressing ourselves out along the way. We forget that time doesn't really exist for the universe – we're part of it. Being patient with myself and the universe has taught me that my goals align with the right moment. Things happen when they're supposed to, no matter how hard you try to make them happen sooner. As a result, it is important to understand that actions for your dreams bring reactions when you are ready for them.
Now, before I charge ahead towards my goal, I ask myself a crucial question: "Am I ready to receive?”.
About Relationships and Personal Sacrifices:
People do care, but maybe not as much as we'd hope. I've realized that the people I love, (friends, family) they do care about me, but making personal sacrifices to help me – that's a different story. And if someone does lend a hand, there's usually a little personal (non-conscious and sometimes conscious) benefit involved. I don't blame them; these things happen unconsciously most of the time, at least that's how I see it. I'm still figuring out why. Maybe I don't show them signs of similar behavior, or maybe people are just generally egotistic. Whatever it is, we need to understand that relying on anyone for anything is an illusion we create in our brains. It's a way to justify the love of the people we lean on. We need to recognise that expectations are just life decorations that flutter away with the smallest breeze. We're meant to be alone on our life path, and that solitude it does not necessary means loneliness or/and isolation, and the sooner we realize that the further we can go with our goals, life, and mental state.
About the Women's Strength:
Let's talk about the incredible strength of women. We're multitasking pros, great at managing time, emotions, and overcoming obstacles. Now, this might sound like a bit much, but every year, I'm learning more about myself as a woman. The discoveries I make are extraordinary, and I want every woman to know our power is real. But here's the thing – we're not great team players with other women. It's a weakness that makes us feel weak and dependent. I'm still pondering over how to overcome this mental challenge. An important note for you from me is that every woman, and every human, has a unique trait that makes us special. For me, it's empathy. Have you thought about yours?
